I enlisted in the Army National Guard in 2015, serving as an Infantryman where I received comprehensive training and developed my skills in leadership, teamwork, and tactical operations. My service in the infantry instilled in me a deep sense of duty and a commitment to always be prepared to support my unit in various challenges and operations. In 2021, I transitioned to the role of a recruiter, leveraging my experiences and dedication to service to help others join the National Guard. As a recruiter, I educate potential recruits on the numerous benefits and opportunities that come with military service, guiding them through the enlistment process and helping them take the first steps in their own careers. One of the most profound experiences of my career came when I had the honor of representing the Virginia National Guard during the 80th anniversary of D-Day in Normandy, France. Participating in this historic event, I stood alongside veterans and fellow service members to commemorate the sacrifices made during the invasion. It was a humbling experience to pay tribute to those who paved the way for the freedoms we enjoy today and to connect with the history of the National Guard's role in such a significant moment in world history. Alongside my military career, I have used the educational benefits offered through the Army National Guard to pursue higher education. With the support of the GI Bill and other tuition benefits, I completed my Bachelor’s degree and am currently working toward my Graduate degree. These educational opportunities have allowed me to broaden my knowledge and prepare for future career opportunities, all while continuing to serve in the Guard. Through my service, my education, and my experiences, I remain deeply committed to the values of duty, honor, and country, and I continue to be proud to represent the Army National Guard in both my professional and personal endeavors.
